Kian Ravaei - Consortium Commission

Colere Quartet is thrilled to announce the launch of a consortium commission for a new piece for saxophone quartet by composer, Kian Ravaei. Scheduled for completion in June 2026, this approximately eight-minute work will be comprised of two contrasting parts–a song and a dance. This piece promises to synthesize Ravaei’s diverse inspirations into an evocative musical portrait. 

We are honored to lead this consortium and are deeply grateful to the saxophone community for their enthusiastic support of this project. The commission has been made possible through the collaboration of the following participating quartets:
